Silver haz to have surgery :(

I have a lump that my doctors want removing ... I wouldn't mind, since it's been giving ... let's say ... 'bother', but it's on my face. And since it has to be surgically removed, I'm going to have a scar on my face. SILVER IS NOT HAPPEH.

Still ... at least my headaches might stop!

Now, all I need is a cure for asthma ....

Oh, dear, I'm sorry to hear this. But I know it will all turn out well. :)

Scars can be interesting, but if you have the option, my brother Will (a plastic surgeon) suggests you talk to your doctor about the possibility of having a plastic surgeon do the opening and closing on your surgery. He said it is done all the time in the US, particularly during facial and hand surgery, and helps to minimize scarring. Also, after the incision has healed, the plastic surgeon can then further minimize the scar with laser surgery.

And if you ever find the cure for asthma, let me know!

*sniff* it's hardly fair!

I have an appointment on Wednesday, so shall ask about plastics then. I have actually been considering - should the scar *have* to be visible - asking them to cut into a certain shape.

Maybe a lightning bolt, since it's on my head.

Hopefully that wont' be one step too far ....

It's not fair at all *hugs* but at least the nasty old lump will be gone!

I had a lump removed from my hand by a plastic surgeon and the scar is not even visible to anyone except me, and even then I have to look for it.

Although, if I had known about the lightning bolt option...
