Silver haz to have surgery :(
I have a lump that my doctors want removing ... I wouldn't mind, since it's been giving ... let's say ... 'bother', but it's on my face. And since it has to be surgically removed, I'm going to have a scar on my face. SILVER IS NOT HAPPEH.
Still ... at least my headaches might stop!
Now, all I need is a cure for asthma ....

Date: 2010-03-28 07:23 am (UTC)I am only 29 but my Mum died of breast cancer when i was 15, so I figure a scar is a small price to pay. I dont get the pathology back til next week, but better out than in right?
I figure, this new scar just adds to to patchwork i already have, they are all stories. Some mark the trauma that was my birth (i was cut during my emergency C-section birth), some mark interventions that saved my life as an adult and one marks a spot where another 9 year old got a little pissed that i got the last chair in musical chairs and took a swing at my face. I wouldnt erase any of them.
hope your little surgery goes well and you gets lots of love and good care xx

Date: 2010-03-28 09:29 pm (UTC)My doctor agrees with 'better out than in' - I'm not even getting a biopsy, just having it whipped out.
I get what you're saying about scars having stories, and it does make me feel a bit better. Maybe it shall be an ice breaker? XD
