Shhhhh this is sekrit!
My friend/cheerleader/personal Hamster Enthusiast
holyfrell has just nipped off to bed, so I'm going to post this in the hope she will find it in the morning and be pleasantly surprised.
She just got diagnosed with Tietzes Syndrome, which is an agonising swelling and inflammation of the cartilage that joins the ribs to the breast bone and causes her a lot ofmotherfucking bastard wankshite pain and discomfort, as well as being potentially a lifelong ailment.
I would very much appreciate it if you guys could all take one second to give her a hug!

*HUGS* TOTAL!
give HolyFrell more *HUGS*
Get hugs of your own
I want you all to click away so that that counter is up nice and high when she logs in tomorrow!
Remember:
holyfrell makes it her business to force me to write fic. If she's not feeling well, she won't be forcing me and fic shall not be done. SO HUG HER AND MAKE HER FEEL BETTER!!! [ye shall be rewarded] XD
Much love,
Silver

Date: 2010-03-26 01:54 pm (UTC)There's nothing to treat it with as it's one of those things that appears randomly and goes when it wants to.
All I can do is take pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs, if i'm lucky, it'll go into remission and completely disappear..
However, if i'm unlucky it'll go away for a bit then come back again and so on... some people have had this disease for years, so as you can probably gather, i'm quite worried about it.
It's a nuisance and a bloody pain that's going to bother me for at least 6 weeks, gah! But Silver and caring people like you are keeping me happy so it's all good :P

Date: 2010-03-29 02:51 pm (UTC)I dealt with a really bad case of pleurisy a few years ago. I think if I had to chose, I rather have my back pain than perpetual chest pain, I remember how worn out it made me feel to not take a deep breath without it hurting worse.
You said no treatment besides pain medicine. I use a TENS unit a lot for my back & neck. Maybe you could ask about trying this? If it is helpful, it means less pain without being so doped up from the meds
Hugs & good luck!
