A few notes on the survey responses so far ...

Well, when I originally posted the survey, I didn't quite expect such a fantastic response! Many thanks for the offers of money, sex, cookies, cakes and (most appreciatedly) kidneys, I am very flattered. Equally as flattering were the declarations of undying love (The surveys were anonymous, but I'm keeping my eyes on fancieflights, unrequited1984 and paraxenos). Thanks also to several of you who offered me RTD's job, but I'm not sure you're allowed to give it me :p

Oh, and griza: I know it was you that asked for the Button/Janet porn, you sick sick sick biatch. ;)

Another part of this survey was to do with the fact I couldn't settle on a 'pet name' for Ianto - those of you who took part will know I asked for some suggestions (I was a little surprised I only got 'cariad' twice.) but I figured really, since Ianto is ours collectively (I'll rent him out to you if you want - no, griza your hands are full at the moment ;]) so I thought we should all name him :)

I would also like to explain to an angry person who doesn't like the 'pet' storyline that Ianto would recognise that he doesn't actually belong to Jack, it's just a game they're playing as an 'in' joke behind Rhiannon's back. They are still equals - just playing a game. Also, 'pet' name means a term of endearment (sweetheart, darling, cariad etc), not an actual re-naming. I apologise that you feel Ianto is degraded by this storyline, but really, this is not what is intended. It's just one of his and Jack's games. I've made it clear throughout this series that Ianto is on a level footing with Jack and is only grudgingly submissive when they are in private: like I said, it's a game. It won't last forever. I'm sorry if the 'game' aspect wasn't conveyed in my writing - this is my fault. But that's all it is. Playing kinky. :)

I was pleased a lot of you noticed the excessive drinking recently (think about how long I used to leave it between drunk!Ianto, right?) as the chapter I'm part way through hints towards this - go you, intelligent Torchwood fans! Oo! And apparently I've been Gwen bashing - I really didn't mean to! I meant it as light fun as I'm not anti-Gwen - just jokes between friends - but I think the fact I'm a bit (lot) pissed off that she's Mary-Sue unscathed by anything may have clouded my judgement as to what could be seen as teasing and what could be seen as bullying. I shall watch the Gwen jokes in the future - this did, after all, start out as a Gwen/Ianto friendship fic from a Janto p.o.v.

The Doctor got a lot of votes to show up, as did Martha. I got about seven people telling me I must absolutely not include Rose - fair enough; I wasn't gunna anyways *sticks out tongue*. I'm not anti-Rose. I'm just not pro-Rose. Typing 'John Hart' in the box several times still only constituted as one vote (you two will know who you are!) but quite a few people wanted him to arrive on the scene. I don't want to bring in too many characters, I quite like the little bubble we've got going at the moment with the occassional Andy and Rhiannon input. Andy got quite a few shout outs, too.

For the time being, I'm not getting rid of Rhiannon. Sorry. I know you don't like her, but that's the point. If you liked everyone in the fic, it'd be shite. There'd be no point. The Rhiannon storyline won't last forever, and all shall be resolved (becase we all loves happy endings!), but for now she is the 'baddie'.

I didn't realize the drinking was excessive, lol. But then again, I never get drunk so I just assumed normal people get drunk that often. What?

My response to angry people who don't like my fic but feel they need to tell me so: don't read it. I admit, the whole pet thing is not my cup of tea, but the fic is so great I'm going to stop reading it! I just get over it. DUH.

Edit: I also volunteer my icon-making skills for minion icons if you/whoever is unable to do it themselves. :D

I find that reaction to the storyline quite interesting, since Ianto willingly instigated the whole thing to begin with and set the Ground Rules for it. If that doesn't say he's okay with it, I don't know what would.

Curious, by excessive drinking, do you mean the one night of debauchery or overall? Because one night of debauchery every so often is fine, and let's face, drunk!Ianto is frickin' adorable.

I feel sorry that there's someone out there who didn't see the humour in the 'pet' storyline. Frankly, I don't see much difference between that and getting married. The whole 'love and obey' schtick that women are supposed to parrot is not that different to saying 'you own me and I will do what you say'. Except, Ianto got a better deal.

I'm somewhat afraid to ask, but I'm coming up blank on Button/Janet porn. (I'm so embarrassed!) Thanks for the survey update - yes, I was a good minion.

As far as the pet theme, perhaps the person just doesn't understand that it's play? Adult, sexual play, but still play. Grownups are allowed to play too. And we're allowed to 'watch'.

Personally, I loved the scene with Rhiannon where Ianto was sitting on the floor beside Jack. I'm sorry she's not able to recognize the lovely affection there.
