The Doctor's diagram is surprisingly concise and to the point. It's also strangely adorable. Huh. Of course Ianto has to inject himself in the end. He wouldn't really let Jack go through with killing him, not knowing how guilty it'd make Jack feel whenif it all goes the shape of the pear.
I have faith everything will be...um, well, maybe not alright, per se...but if a version of Ianto using a double-negative doesn't cause the apocalypse, I'm fairly certain nothing will.
