Title: Silver Service
Author:
a_silver_story
Chapter: 11/?
Genre: AU, Romance, Angsty, fluffy
Rating: NC17 / 18
Pairings: Main Pairing is Jack/Ianto. Also includes Ianto/Martha, Ianto/Tosh friendship, Ten/Tosh, Mickey/Martha (mentioned)
Warnings: M.M, rentboy!Ianto, Alternate Universe
Disclaimer: If I owned anything in this, I'd be a rich rich rich bitch. However, I am not a rich rich rich bitch so you may all, therefore, assume I own nothing. Which I don't. It all belongs RTD and the BBC, in case any of you didn't know. Now pass the retcon ...
Summary: Started as a PWP, but since it's me (sorry folks!) and I really can't do things by halves, it grew and grew and grew (and not in an innuendous sort of way). Doctor Smith owns a posh Cardiff hotel, and the respectable Sixth Earl of Boeshane is coming to stay - and he brings with him some very specific demands.
The story follows Ianto from being born, meeting Toshiko and them running away together to the city, right up until Ianto is taken to work in the Doctor's hotel as a 'service' butler for - you guessed it - Jack.
Everyone's fave OTP ensues. BOO YA!

FIRST PART | Chapter 1

Ianto couldn’t sleep. He kept staring at the vase in the corner – the one that stood guard over the loose floorboards where Jack had hidden his souvenirs and the grey metal box with its mystery contents. He wondered what was really in it, and why it hadn’t been touched since it was put there. It would be easy to sneak a look while Jack wasn’t in, or off doing whatever he sometimes did during the day, but it made Ianto feel really guilty of his curiosity as clearly Jack trusted him not to pry.
Rolling over, he propped his head on his hand and slipped the other over Jack’s waist, rubbing the smooth skin lightly with his thumb. Jack didn’t stir, but he did turn his head into Ianto's body and sigh happily. Tentatively, Ianto reached out and touched his hair, gently lacing his fingers through it and feeling the silky locks glide past his skin. He wasn’t really used to being awake while Jack was asleep – Jack didn’t really seem to sleep much, and waking up with him still in the bed was a rare thing for Ianto. He moved his hand from Jack’s hair and lightly brushed his knuckles over his jawline, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to his cheek, hesitating a second, then brushing his lips over Jack’s.
Ianto felt himself getting a bit turned on, so decided to roll to the other side of the bed. He was settled less than a minute before he felt the mattress move as Jack searched for him unconsciously in his sleep, and Ianto frowned at his restlessness, moving closer to him and stroking his hair again. He calmed and stilled, and Ianto bit his lip, his stomach doing somersaults at the thought of Jack searching him out even when he wasn’t aware. Smiling to himself, Ianto settled beside him, resting his head on Jack’s shoulder. Jack did stir this time, turning onto his side and folding Ianto into his arms, and Ianto returned the embrace and pulled him closer, just about managing to stop himself from ‘snuggling’ into him. There was a distinct hardness pressing into his hip, and Ianto smiled to himself, realizing that Jack must be having a very lovely dream indeed. He felt all warm inside, and a happy fuzziness was settling over him as sleep finally began to come. Moments away from unconsciousness, Jack sighed heavily, a name escaping his lips on the outward breath.
It wasn’t Ianto's.

Dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun ...
Apologies for the lack of updates over the past couple of days, and the drabble-ette form of this chapter (though does any more really need to be said? Well, yes. But. CLIFFHANGER OHMIGOD!) - I've just found out I've been the victim of fraud, and have been a smidgen distracted.
Oh - and as I'm sure you're all desperate to know - the best chocolate bar in the world isssssssssssssssssssss *drum roll*
WISPA GOLD!
... admittedly in hindsight, it's probably not. But while you're eating it you get such a warm fuzzy feeling, just knowing that Wispa and caramel are meant to be together ... they're like the Jack and Ianto of the confectionary world (obviously Jack is the chocolate with many holes, and Ianto is the sweet caramel that makes you stick to it).
