I hope it goes well, better to get rid of it than have it causing trouble! Besides, scars aren't bad, you can make up funny stories about how you got it. I knew someone who accidentally stuck her arm through a window and has a huge scar on her arm now. Whenever someone asked about it she'd come up with a different story about it and see how long they believed her. Shark attack, got in a fight with a rodeo clown, freak sledding accident (during the summer), etc.
