I was also very unimpressed by "Into The Silence", especially when the only hints at Jack and Ianto's relationship that we got were when Gwen was wondering "how Jack would touch her differently to Ianto."
I interpreted that basically as Gwen going "Oh, he would be so much more loving and gentle with me for I am his twue wuv and Ianto is just his sex toy." Bleurgh.
Or the amazing-powers-of-Gwen-Cooper-at-making-Tosh's-computer-system-better-than-Tosh-ever-managed-herself-Ianto-sat-and-ate-pizza-the-poor-silly-lump.
Or that fact that when they realise that they've got the wrong place, Jack doesn't say "oops we've got the wrong place, come on Ianto, to the Mystery Machine!", but decides it would be productive and best to leave Ianto singing confusedly on his own whilst he ran away to save the world.
